Description

Khadi Indigo powder gives hair wonderful shiny black/blue highlights. In addition to making hair shiny and full-bodied, it can create when combined with Khadi Henna, shades ranging from dark red to black.
The natural base color is crucial to the final result, which will be optimal with naturally dark hair. Consider, however, that Indigo’s color pigments generally color black/blue. Light hair will need to be colored (with Khadi Henna, for example) to best absorb this natural Indigo dye.

Khadi dyes can also be used on hair previously colored with chemical dyes.

How to use

Use Khadi Indigo dye on freshly washed hair with a mild shampoo and pat dry with a towel. Avoid the use of harsh shampoos or those containing silicones-these products can reduce the color’s hold. It is necessary to prevent the hair from cooling by keeping it in the towel until the treatment is complete. Mix the necessary amount of powder with hot water (at 50°C) until a smooth paste is obtained (be careful not to inhale the dye powders!). Next, apply the natural dye with a brush, taking care not to let the mixture cool (you can keep the bowl in a water bath if the application should be prolonged).

After applying the color, put on a plastic shower cap or wrap your hair with plastic wrap so that the paste does not dry out.
At this point wrap your head with a towel or turban to keep it warm. The more care you take in keeping the dough warm, the better the result. The laying time depends on personal needs and hair structure. Hair that is thin or damaged by chemical treatments absorbs color faster than hair that is stronger and healthier.
Leave the dye on for 30 minutes (for light coloring or in the case of scrambled hair) to 2 hours.

After the setting time has elapsed, rinse the hair with lukewarm water until all residue is completely removed and the water from the last rinse remains clear.
Avoid washing hair or using styling products in the next 24 hours, if possible, so that the color can develop and attach better to the hair. It should be kept in mind that the color may darken further.
